Understand before you spend.
What we explain here is what we explain to our clients. You don't need an agency to understand these principles — only to apply them.
What makes a good small-business site
Six things, in order of importance. The first five matter more than the design.
People understand what you do in 10 seconds
A visitor who has to guess leaves. Your trade, your city and your offer must be readable without scrolling.
It loads fast on a phone
Past three seconds, a large share of visitors give up. Speed is a design decision, not a detail.
You are easy to reach
A tappable phone number, an email, a short form. Every extra step costs you customers.
It says why you and not someone else
Price, turnaround, guarantee, years in the trade: one concrete reason, not "quality and professionalism".
Google knows what it is about
Clear titles, an up-to-date Google listing, your city named. Without that, nobody finds you.
It looks cared for
Design comes last, but it counts: a neglected site makes people doubt the service.
How to get more customers from your site
Answer fast
The first to call back usually wins the job. A form left sitting for two days is worth less than a phone number.
Ask for Google reviews
They're free, and they're what your customers check before calling you. Ask systematically, right after good service.
One page per service
An "emergency plumbing" page ranks better than a single page that talks about everything.
Show your work
Before-and-after photos of your real jobs convince people more than any amount of text.
Measure before you pay for ads
Without measurement you will never know which ad produced a customer. It's the first thing to install, before the first dollar is spent.
How many sales are you leaving on the table?
Adjust the sliders to match your business. The calculator illustrates one possible growth scenario, for information only.
Your current situation
Illustrative scenario only. Assumptions applied: traffic multiplied by 2.5 and conversion rate lifted to 3% (a common industry benchmark). These figures are not a projection, a promise, or a guarantee of results: actual results vary with your market, your offer and your budget.
Additional sales — illustrative scenario
That's 54 000 $ over twelve months, in this scenario.
Frequently asked questions about websites
What does a website cost in Canada?
The range is enormous: from around $500 for a hand-filled template to over $15,000 at a traditional agency. Our prices are published: $1,400 CAD to build, once, then $50 CAD per month. Plus your province’s sales tax.
How long does it take?
With us, 7 days guaranteed from the moment we have your basic information. The clock pauses if we are waiting on something from you. Elsewhere, expect 4 to 12 weeks.
Do I need a site if I already have a Facebook page?
A Facebook page is yours until the day the platform changes its rules. A website is simply yours, ranks on Google, and does not show your competitors’ ads beside your content.
What is SEO, in plain terms?
All the work that makes Google show you when someone searches for what you sell. Part of it happens when the site is built, the rest happens continuously, month after month.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes, if you want to. But most of our clients prefer to write to us: one change a month is already included in the plan, and it is done the same day.
What happens if I stop paying?
You can cancel at any time, in writing, with no penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you paid for. The site is yours: we hand over the files.
Shall we talk for 15 minutes?
A short, honest call. We look at your situation and tell you plainly whether we can help — no commitment, no pressure selling.
